Packers are Super Bowl-bound – How Sweet It Is…

The Green Bay Packers have defeated the Chicago Bears  in the NFC Championship Game and are on their way to Super Bowl XLV. It wasn’t the prettiest game, and the Bears put up plenty of fight, forcing quarterback Aaron Rodgers into two interceptions. But in the end, Green Bay’s season-long resilience again made the difference when undrafted cornerback Sam Shields picked off Bears quarterback Caleb Hanie with under a minute remaining. The Packers have placed more than a dozen players on injured reserve this year, but the team’s depth kept it alive, and they have now won three straight road playoff games and five games in a row overall.

So it’s on to Arlington, Texas to try to capture Titletown’s 13th NFL Championship. They’ll play the winner of the Steelers-Jets matchup. For now, Packer fans, savor the win over your biggest and most respected rival. Let’s try to bring the Lombardi trophy home.
